Hello,
few years ago during an API audit, the Auditor told us that is important to do the marking sequentially as is at point 11.2 of the standard.
Now one client is asking about marking the dimenison in SI and USC.
As i undestand i have to mark:
1- name of manufacture
2- Api Spec 5L(and other standards if applicable)
3- Outside diametre
4- Wall thickness
5- Steel grade
... and so on and after all the mandatory marks, the client requisitions

So, about the dimenision, may i mark?:
NAME-API SPEC 5L- 16"(406.4mm)X 0.5" (12.70mm)- X52..etc

or Have i to put one of them at the end as client requirements?
NAME-API SPEC 5L- 16"X 0.5" - X52..and after all the marks by API 5L, - 406.4 x 12.70mm

I understand that the 1st option, is not wrong because the secuence is according to API 5L but writen on Si and USC. What do you think?
thank you so much in advance

My suggestion (since they want US and SI values) is this: the FIRST units are the units to which the piece was manufactured.

If manufactured to US dimensions:
NAME- API SPEC 5L - 16.0 x 0.5 inch (406.4 x 12.7 mm) - X52 ...

If manufactured to SI dimensions
NAME- API SPEC 5L - 400 x 12 mm (15.75 x 0.47 inch) - X52 ...
