Hi all,

As we have to do some maintenance work on the Surface of the Aluminum dome Roof. The Apex height of the dome is 68 m from the ground and the surface of the dome is very steep making it very difficult to climb. The only way to reach the upper surface is to use a lifeline rope (SS 10mm rope). Kindly suggest some safety measures and other options.

Thanks in Advance.

Regards,
Lokesh.

Main issue is to get the right people and right equipment on the job- specifically, people already familiar with the type of work and the fall protection required.
You may be able to access some areas via a boom lift.
Access via a large crane and personnel basket may be possible if the surface is not safe to walk on. That would be a major move-in expense for the crane.
The dome manufacturer may have some resources. Industrial painting contractors that do tank work would likely have the rigging and knowledge for it.
Not a good field to try to jump into on your own, though.
Fall protection is high regulated in many areas, so familiarity with safety regulations is required as well.
