I'm going to assume the source of heat is the bearings (hotter near bearings than the axial center of stator)?

Greaseable bearings? If so, it's common for bearings to run hot after greasing until they move the grease out of the way. And if too much grease was added or there is noplace for it to go it may remain hot.

Beyond that we get more into wild guess territory based soley on what you said you did. Maybe during replacment you may have degraded the shaft fit to the point the bearing is spinning on the shaft. Or maybe when replaced the motor you ended up with alignment conditions or belt conditions that give too much or too little load on the bearing.

Just a lot of guesses. Better info will give better guesses

How did they run before? Presumably, the maintenance and repair was because there was something wrong to start with?
Are they overheating with zero load applied? i.e., disconnected from table?
