I see this thread but I'm unsatisfied with the answer:
NDS Supplement 2015 Table 4A lists Alaska Cedar AND Alaska Yellow Cedar for 2" - 4" thick. (page 33)
But, Table 4D only shows Alaska Cedar for 5"x5" and larger. (page 47)
The fact that table 4A lists them separate makes it seem like Alaksa Cedar is not the same as Alaska Yellow Cedar.
I'm used to listing AYC grade for 2x and 4x, but what do I list for 6x beams and columns?
I'm in the Pacific Northwest area, mainly Washington and Idaho.
