Hi, I have a question about my modal mass in mode 1
My total modal mass = 87x10^6 kg
Maximum joint displacement in mode 1: 6,8 mm
When I calculate my modal mass for mode 1:
1 / (6,8*10^-3) = 147
127^2 = 21575 kg
The building acts like a cantilever beam, so I expect for the modal mass for mode 1: 0,25*M;tot
It looks like I miss x1000 in my answer. The unit I use in ETABS is kg.
Does someone have an idea about this?
