What's the best/fast way to learn creating SW simple macros?

Thank you!

ctopher,

Thanks for your prompt reply.
A question for you (please, excuse my ignorance): What "VAR" is and how can be accessed?

SBaugh:
Thanks for your reply.
Where could I download other macros (that are free and see how they built them) from?.....................

Regards,

Value-Added Reseller, who you purchased SolidWorks from.
Google search can find macros.

Hi, CAD2015:

You can record macros yourself. If you have VB background, you can open and review the macros you created.

As your skill improves, you can write macros directly in Solidworks VBA.

Best regards,

Alex

Hi Alex,
Thanks for your message.
I am using the company SolidWorks software.
I do not have any experience in creating macros (except some very simple ones, long time ago, in Catia V5)...............

Hi, CAD2015:

If you know how to do programming with Visual Basic, it will be a lot easier to use Solidworks VBA macros.

If you don't have backgrounds in Visual Basic, then you will need to get Training through your VAR. You should get books on Solidworks VBA. Most of the books assume readers have some basic background in VBA. If you are really into it, you need to learn VB.net.

Best regards,

Alex

Chris,
I misunderstand that phrase.[afro2][bigsmile]
I corrected.....[bigsmile]

P.S. You may erase that quote......[hourglass]
