The TLDR: Today is my final day of employment and I start my own business on Monday!
Unfortunately, the situation with my previous employer did not resolve itself, despite numerous frank discussions and offering solutions (I was even able to introduce a few new processes to the business), but unfortunately, these were not enough to evoke a change and the culture ultimately prevailed.
Having learned a vast amount about business and managing teams etc, it was certainly a learning experience and one which I'll take with me to my new venture. Onwards and upwards as they say. Thanks to all who shared their views on the situation, it certainly seemed to be a common occurrence within small enterprises. I'm sure I'll be posting here soon in the future seeking advice from the members once again.
