I am looking for a standard (if exists) that provides some requirements about revision marking on parts.
Is there any mandatory requirement to mark revision on parts? Or revision letter should not be marked on parts?
I know that standards provides requirements about drawings and their revisions but I am looking for requirements about markings on parts.

Is there any mandatory requirement to mark revision on parts?

Only if you want to stay in business and be successful. Seriously though, can you imagine revised parts that are form and fit, but not identical function and you had no way to tell them apart? How would anyone know what part to order if they couldn't pull it off the part, or how could the factory repair stuff if they can't tell them apart?

TTFN (ta ta for now)

To be certified through ISO/ANSI/etc, revision marking per their standards is required.

As mentioned, the part code with revision number is a good manufacturing practice and to be used for the product id and inventory control. The applicable Code or Company standards may be applied for it depending on the type of the industry if specified.

Op
Most big companies don't require revision number.
If traceability is required they use date code like Julian date , and or serial number.
If an internal requirement then it'd up to the Engineer.

In usa Mil-Std-130, and AS478
