Setting the same friction coefficient will result in less friction force obtained in abaqus explicit than in abaqus standard. Has anyone encountered a similar situation before?

Abaqus/Explicit may use different contact formulations. Is it general contact or pairs ? What settings ? More details are needed.

Thanks FEA way for your kind reply. In my model , I set general contact with system default.

Have you seen this thread ?
The important difference between these solvers is that Explicit adds some contact damping by default. You can control it (even disable it completely) with *CONTACT DAMPING, TANGENT FRACTION. But you should check all the energies (especially ALLVD) carefully.
