Hello All

I was wondering if anyone had a source for empirical calculations of pipe wall thinning due to liquid droplet impingent erosion. Looking for a calculation to predict wear rate of carbon steel piping. I'm working from PVP2012-78443

Potentially Isomoto model?

Any input would be greatly appreciated

Thank you

The nuclear power plants watch carefully the thickness of the carbon steel pipes where the fluid is flashing water or wet steam.
Look for a document of EPRI (Electrical Power Research Institute) that has by title: "Recommendations for controlling cavitation, flashing, liquid droplet impingement and solid particle erosion in nuclear power plants".
