Hi,
I am running a simulation in ABAQUS of the helical buckling of concentric tubes. Initially, I was conducting a static analysis with automatic stabilization.
Due to the high nonlinearity, I opted for a quasi-static implicit dynamic analysis. Therefore, Abaqus requires defining the material density. How should I set this density value? Should I simulate benchmark examples by varying the density value until I find an appropriate result?
Which energies should I check in quasi-static implicit analyses? Is mass scaling applicable to implicit analyses?
Thank you.
