Hi,

I have developed a few DNV tools in Python as part of my journey about learning how to code. I have been improving my them and I was thinking on publishing them online through a repository in github or maybe adding a website on top of it and making an online version of these tools.

My idea is to a) keep improving my coding skills and b) show that I can implement some Standards, which I believe is attractive from a CV point of view?

I am a bit concern about infringing some copyright laws and that maybe the company DNV will go after me. Anyone has any input on this?

I know if I pursue monetary gains I will be in trouble.

Thanks

I think that as long as you don't display the actual text of the standards in your software (on display or in code), you'll be fine. You should probably consult an IP lawyer.

Check with DNV. Many, if not all (?) of their codes they openly publish.
Maybe only a credit to their works might be enough.
