Hello there,
I am trying to model a slope. I have some initial von misses stress in ABAQUS. We know that the that Von misses yield strength is two times(2*Su) of undrained shear strength. So in my drained analysis, I need to fix the soil properties before failure so that the slope is stable in existing condition. I am using Mohr Coulomb Failure Criteria. Then I will initiate failure. So, How can I select the parameters (Cohesion and Angle of internal friction) based on my von misses stress? Like,.. I have high von misses stress at the toe like 250 kPa and in others part it varies between 150 kPa to 200 kPa. So, how can I select the parameters?

Thank you for reading this one. Please help me.

It could be any combination of c' and phi'. You need to know ball park numbers from local knowledge.
