Recently I have a project that all the materials are using
DIN ISO code. Could someone mail me about the equivalent list? Like ASSAB or JIS

ASM now has a new on-line world wide guide that includes info from manufacturers, Woldmans, ASM World Wide Guides etc. I had a chance to demo it recently and found it an excellent source. My comment to the ASM was "the best I've come across yet!"

I've not had the opportunity to use the ASM site yet, but for steel, stainless and nickel alloys would suggest "Stahlschluessel" (Key to Steel), available from ASM book department. It is a little tedious to figure out, I use section 17 almost entirely to translate a given DIN Werkstoff Nummer to chemistry (from which I figure out US equivalent) ASM also sells a key to aluminum, also German, which I have but have not yet used. EN (European Normal) numbers are usually, but not always, the same as W.Nr. I don't know where to get a list of EN numbers, it is best to have a European contact. US standards societies are not always as familiar with European specs as one might hope.
