I need suggestion of material for a small electronic instrument case. We currently use a styrene that has a heat distortion temperature of about 140 deg F. The device is sometimes subjected to sun heat load and 130 deg F. air temperature resulting in measured case temperatues of 170 deg F. As a result the case distorts.

Styrene is one of the few plastics that will not stand 170 deg F

Materials like nylons, acetal, polyesters, ABS, PP, HDPE, PPO alloys, polycarbonate, acrylic can all withstand 170f depending on the load and other factors
