I work for a small engineering firm that designs HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems for commercial and residential buildings. Presently, I am an electrical draftsman. The company hopes to gradually give me more and more design work. I'm looking for a book that will give me a good foundation in electrical design. It'd be helpful if the book included information on lighting design, as well. Or if there is a separate book you could recommend on lighting design, what is it?

Thanks. I greatly appreciate any advice you guys can give me.

p.s. If you look at my profile, check out my post history. My last post asked the HVAC people for a beginner's HVAC design book. My company keeps moving me around. Haha.

There is a book that I use a lot that is called simply 'AC Fundamentals' it's a very good reference. A good place to get good reference materials is at your local university or college used book store. Look for the texts that are used for the electrical engineering courses in power electronics.
