Hello,

What is a good book on piston port, 2 stroke engines? I'm asking as I am starting to kart race a yamaha kt-100 next year after running nhra stock eliminator for 10 years. My 4-stroke engine knowledge is good, but zero experience with 2-stroke.

Thanks,

Chris

Start with an old book, "Two Stroke Tuners Handbook" or something like that by the late, great Gordon Jennings. Out of print, but you may be able to find a copy somewhere. There are probably some newer books that pick up where this one left off.

I'll second that. I got a copy back when it was first published, using it to port and build some pipes for my 1971 Kawasaki H1. I was very pleased with the result.

Just a couple years ago, I re-read my copy and was still impressed with how much pertinent content it contains.
