Hi
We manufactured a cylindrical silencer and owner wants to protect internal wall with VCI paper. in my web search I found only wrapping type VCI paper.
question:
is there a sticky type of VCI paper?
can we somehow paste the papers on the internal wall?
is it practical to just leave the paper inside without touch with internal wall in all surface?

VCI just needs to be in the space, it doesn't need to be applied to surfaces. You could wash it up into a ball and toss it inside the cylinder and it will do its job.

It will do its job as long as the entire unit is then sealed.
You can buy sponges or cardboard pads soaked with the same chemicals.
I keep a few in the bottom of my closed toolboxes.

Thanks for your Response 🙏.
most of internal space is occupied with mineral wool insulation. dose it absorb the effective volatile vaper? If it dose, is it still practical to use VCI?

Good point
Thanks

When we used VPI (vapor phase inhibitors) on equipment we always fastened them to the plastic cover.
That way they couldn't be left inside when the equipment was put into service.

is it harmful if it left inside?

If you're concerned about it being left inside, you can add the volatile oil without the paper if the presence of oil is acceptable.

The equipment is a vent silencer. a cylinder that its internal space is mostly occupied with mineral wool insulation. when it operate, steam with high pressure and velocity vent through it and everything not attached inside will shoot out.
my concerned is:
1-mineral wool is too dry and puros. can it absorb most of our VCI vapor so no sufficient vapor for protecting remain?
2-every unattached item remain in the equipment will shoot out and that may cause danger.
