The procedure its like this:
1. first you have to have the drawing and the part/ product that you want to link to in the same folder.
2. Open the drawing
3. go to Edit/Links/Pointed Documents/ Replace. From there copy the old name of the part that the drawing was linked to. Close...

When you create a view from 3d you need need to select a view plane. For you to see the annotations you have to put the annotations in the view plane that you select for your view(see picture).
For the dimensions, I managed to put then in the same way as in a 2d view.

A solution can be : extract half a cylinder. Make a blend between the 2 long edges of the half cylinder. Then use isoparametric command to make the axis.
