have you tried scripting (File > Scripting>Record Journal) at ANSYS?
you can click on Record Journal at the beginning, before you start defining and entering the parameters.
then you will get a file with XML language.
for the next task you can call the file "Run Scripting file" again.

I have three geometric parameters.
a, b and c.
i want to know where and how can i make parameter b dependent on c?
for example that c must always be greater than b, if b[5...10] und c[4...20]
a matrix was created by DesignXmodler.
but errors were shown.
is there an IF statement that can be...
i am currently using optislang instead of DesignXplorer to do a parameter study.
I am now encountering the problem that Optislang does not show all possible parameter combinations.
is it because Optislang is designed for optimization and not for variation?
My goal is not to optimize but to...
i try to determine convective thermal resistance (Rconv) at different diameters of channels in Steady State Thermal ANSYS , but did not work so far.
because if i define the channel as 3rd boundary condition (convection), i have to define the temperature and heat transfer coefficient h, what i...
Thank you for your Answer.
I tried to define the parameters depending on other parameters in the Workbench on the parameter page.
But it didn't work, i think it only works if both parameters have the same unit.
Film coefficient does not have the same Unit as Dimensions
Hello to all,
i would like to define heat transfer coefficient as a function (in Steady state thermal), i.e. in relation to channel diameter, Reynolds number and Prandtl number.
I can't define this as a constant value because the diameter is constantly changed by Design of experiement in Ansys...
Hi all,
I would like to simulate a small cut of the injection mold (see picture), and first challenges are:
what are the boundary conditions and what analysis system in Ansys (I simulated that in thermal stationary analysis) should simulate that.
My boundary conditions are (see picture): on the...
Soon I will write my master thesis.
I would like to deal with the topic FEM or your applications.
Can someone suggest a topic that will be interesting in the market in the future?
What about FEM in conjunction with Artifical Intellegence.
Thank you
Hello,
I am currently working on the creation of steel parallelepipeds with a square cross-section in the unloaded state exactly into the cavity with ideally rigid
walls and can slide against them with friction.
since the walls are rigid, the displacements of steel blocks in X- and Z- direction...
Thank you for Answer.
Yeah, that's what I meant.
I have to calculate the stresses in X, Y and Z directions.
can you please confirm whether you can calculate the stresses in X- ; Y- and Z-directions with these equations?
σy= F/A
σx= σz= (1-2ν)σy
Hi all,
A steel parallelepiped with a square cross-section fits exactly into the cavity. it's loaded from the top surface(see picture). how can I calculate the stress in X- and Y-direction if the strain in X- and Y-direction is zero.
Thank you
