BoundingBox vs Create Box, incorrect results from BoundingBox

Works like a champ, fixed all issues on known parts I've been able to test. Thanks again

BoundingBox vs Create Box, incorrect results from BoundingBox

We have implemented and successfully been using the journal from: thread561-389240 to run BOM finished sizes for our components for about a year now. Works perfectly 95% of the time. However there are certain instances where it was failed us, and they are seemingly repeatable. We have found...

Journal code to find part 'modified date'?

Thanks for the info, however I don't want to just run the info-->history list. I want the latest save so I can have the program automatically compare it to another BOM size generated date/time.

Journal code to find part 'modified date'?

Quick question, and guessing this might be a single line-code, but how can you obtain the last saved date of a part (modified date)? We are using journals to create bounding box info to fill out our bill of materials, however keeping them updated can be tricky. I'd like to be able to check the...

    Journal to Select FlatSolid

Thank you sir! Helpful as always

    Journal to Select FlatSolid

I have an existing journal to work through an assembly and extract bounding box information for each component in the assembly for BOM purposes. This works well except for formed components, where we want to bound box only the FlatSolid of the component. Does somebody know the code to do this...

Select Bundle with Journal NXOpen API

Petulf, after what you said about your Mach1 bundle being able to still perform 'measure bodies' I gave it a try this morning again, and it worked fine. I don't know what happened in the past when we tried it after taking away the Mach3 potential from the tool makers, but we had a couple issues...

Select Bundle with Journal NXOpen API

Petulf thanks for the info and screenshots, I'm definitely going to give it a try on Monday.

Select Bundle with Journal NXOpen API

They are running a 1100 bundle (I think), maybe 1000. When we took away the 3100 from them 'measure bodies' went away, however I never thought about turning on the auto weight on save. That might suffice for what we need. Thanks for the idea! Do you notice any save/update performance losses...

Select Bundle with Journal NXOpen API

Is there a way, or code somebody already has to select bundles for different mach's inside of NX? We have limited amount of mach 3 bundles, so our tool makers on the floor have had them taken away, but now they cannot use NX to pull part weights. We would like to be able to get an NXOpen...

Journal/API to Auto Place PMI Dimensions?

Is there a way a journal can be written to auto recognize holes in a part, and place a PMI 'hole-callout' for each hole type?

Journal to Add Bolts Automatically In Assembly???

DSikes thanks for the info, I are going to start looking into that and see if I can get it modified.

Journal to Add Bolts Automatically In Assembly???

daluigi I am currently in the process of trying to learn Visual Basic and the API realm, so I am not skilled enough yet to get to that point. Is this code something you'd be willing to share?

Journal to Add Bolts Automatically In Assembly???

Thanks Iklo and daluigi for your thoughts. Sounds like it is very feasible then, ha just not yet for me. I am very new to the NX Open world and I'm slowly working my way into the knowledge space to be able to do the intricate things as you are laying them out. It is nice to know at least that...
