I am using filters to some extent, although I would like to eliminate this noise. (or atleast have some way to prove that damping would remove the numerical noise before using filters). I am measuring some velocity and I have a noise of about 300 Hz in the output.
I have some noise in my Abaqus Explicit Simulation, would like to use global damping. I have found only Bulk Viscosity for Abaqus Explicit. Although I would like to use Mass Proportional Damping, but I dont think, there are options for the same. Mass Proportional Damping is available only at...
Any advice on how to go about it..
As in to use shells or surface elements ?
And How much performance improvement will be there, from converting rigid part to rigid shell ?
Thanks in advance.
I am simulating some assembly, where I have found out that, converting deformable parts to rigid parts have no effect(negligible) to the results I want to extract. I wanted to know, if rather converting deformable parts to rigid body, I can convert them also to rigid shell or surface and...
In the below diagram
Assume that there are two parts, red part and yellow part.
Red part and yellow part are only allowed to rotate around the center of the black circle. These parts are not connected. If I move the yellow part by angle alpha, I want the red part also to move by angle...
Hello,
I have a part as a input abaqus meshed file. I do not have the geometry. I am trying to mesh it again, although I believe to create a more custom mesh, I would require CONS and other parameters which are in geometry. Is there any way to make geometry again from the meshed part, or...
Thank you for your response. I am using "Abaqus 3DEXPERIENCE R2019x HotFix 18" . General Contact is giving very weird results (this I am trying to figure out). In the meantime I would like to know what could be the problem for the above Warning.
I have the following Warning,
***WARNING: A shell surface with shell offsets has either rigid elements or
deformable elements made rigid. Rigid surfaces with shell offsets
cannot be used with contact pairs. The shell offsets will not be
enforced within the...
