Is there any reason why putting the shear wall sheathing on the inside face of an exterior wall is not acceptable, or requires additional consideration?

I wouldnt detail the exact dimension, and have the contractor verify dimensions and produce shop drawings. Or, I would build tolerance in with a field weld... double L bracket.
RWW0002- Okay. I get that. If Im not mistaken, the truss designers usually assume either direct applied ceiling or they specify a nominal bracing. In the situation you describe, Id recommend bracing the BC either way. A continuous runner is easy and cheap, add some bay blocking and youre there.
