    Tube bundle

Thank you all for your answers. Ed: I would appreciate a refferal to such application, seems interesting.

    Tube bundle

Flow comes in crossflow (from above) on cylinders (horizontally oriented). Can be considered as open, yes.

    Tube bundle

Hi guys, my application is flow over across an (in-line or staggered) cylinder bundle. I need to ensure constant velocity along stream as fluid is water. How to do that? Then, how can I simulate heat transfer?

    Capillary tube

The question refers to the change of condenser load. So if evaporator pressure and inlet and outlet stay same, how does subcool / bubble presence before capillary tube influence pressure of condenser? Obviously the pressure will change...

    Capillary tube

What requires bigger entry pressure? REfrigerant with bubble or with no bubble at all?

    Capillary tube

I'm asking solely from capillary tube point of view as an element of cooling cycle

What requires bigger pressure difference in your opinion? I prefer tea

    Capillary tube

Hi, can you please ellaborate on topic of ordinary capillary tube In particular, I am interested in bubble entering the tube Thanks in advance, lukezo

    Buoyancy driven flow

By spraying hot water into air stream. To simplify, plan is to implement udf connecting air velocity and temperature before moisturizing section.

    Buoyancy driven flow

Hi people, I'm about to model flow of air inside a vertical tube with air inlet at the bottom of tube about a feet away from bottom. The air gets moist and warm inside tube. Can you ellaborate on boundary conditions? 2. Which is the appropriate outlet condition?

    Water vapor condenser

georgeverghese, my friend, google just won't display any results to your query. Can you please send 1 link to a distributer of such assembly.

    Water vapor condenser

MJ ... true, I said that. However: Companies like Pick make direct steam injection systems, these are combination diffusers and control devices. So you can see I checked the company's profile. As they offer very precise outlet hot water temperature, this application isn't the very best...

    Water vapor condenser

Hi, we chose to inject vapor directly in the tube. Which mixing valve do you suggest, since the needed mixing temperature deviation is +-5°C. feedwater MFR=1200kg/min T_in=20...40°C (range) heating vapor MFR=100kg/min 2,5BarG T=145°C T_out=65 (+-5) °C MFR's are correct, I just need a...

    Mixing temperature

I did exactly the same calculation, but the balance doesn't match. What comes in (left side) is by factor 1,7x bigger. So I presume that we have huge heat loss.

    Water vapor condenser

For heat flux 2,5MW I tried to calculate kA and received enorm numbers for shell and tube (length of a tube 20m) I predicted 1 tube pass with V_water=2m/s (ht=4600W/m2K) Resulting length is 18m per tube with 25 tubes water MFR=15L/s Tout=60degC Tin=20degC Can I lower tube ID? I never have...
