Weld on arrow side ? But what are circle and arch like markings adjacent to "V" ?
And what weld joint efficiency it would need E=0.9 from ASME VIII Div 1 - Table UW 12 ?
Design pressure is 14 bar....
Even if it is a typo 6 " also would not have that thickness...
Suppose it is a "gun barrel" or "heavy bore" piping - is there some kind of standard for such thick "things" ?

There is a vessel constructed to an ASMVE VII div 1 code (At least as datasheet says).
Vessel nozzle spec says: 4", wall thickness 1.305"
But, in schedule table there is no 4" pipe having thickness 1.305".
Maximum thickness for 4" pipe is 0.674" = 17.12mm (XXS).

I have I noticed a following - a flange face and flange interior have different magnetic properties rather than its outside surface....
The magnet sticks strongly to a flange from outside and very weakly to a flange face ....
Vessel Nozzle neck has the same behavior - from outside...

I have a spec where 20 mills coating thickness is specified on sealing face of a flange (RF flange ).... 20 mills makes 0.5mm and this is the order of depth of the flange face rings.

Dear EdStainless / TugboatEng it is external surface of a pipe clean with a solvent (it was having stains on it). This line is in service for 10 years or so probably there were some shutdowns ....
Is that question related to susceptibility of SS develop cracks in intermittent service ?
Dye-penetrant showed this type of indications, thus not knowing how deep they might me ... the piping is 10m long what would be the suggestion ? Dye-pen inspect the whole 10 m line ?
