HELLO, i AM BEING ASKED TO DIMENSION THE SIDE DISTANCES FOR A POST INSTALLED ANCHOR WHERE NEW SHEAR WALLS WILL MEET EXISTING FOORING WHILE INCLUDING OVERSTRENGTH FACTORS FOR POST INSTALLED ACHOR. THIS IS FOR A NEW STEM WALL FOUNDATION WILL ATTACH TO EXISTING STEM WALL FOUNDATION. ANYONE HAVE A...
Hi, I would like to know what the tolarances is for brace walls that may be a couple (2") inches short per plan. Is there a code reference that would answer this? I am wondering how one will address this if an inspecor were to question the discrepancy withought having to go back to the engineer.
I have drafted up a sample letter that I intend to use in the future. Any feedback would be appreciated, especially with verbage. I would like to ensure the letter sounds as porfessional as possible.
Thank you in advance...
Thank you for the input. I have drafted up a letter based on your comments. If you dont mind, I would like to have your feedback. Any verbage changes that would make it sound more professional in your opinion...

Hi all,
How would one draw or represent the attached file on a floor plan. I am not sure how to draw this from a plan view.
Anyone?https://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=ca55fa38-f3f0-4a0a-8446-1b7e97a0b0c4&file=Stepped-Foundation-Walk-Out-e1464400518453.jpg
Hi guys,
I am trying to figure out how to detail a stem wall connecting to a slab on grade foundation and vise versa. I've attached a preliminary drawing of what i think it should be, but of course, I am accepting any feedback. the top of slab and top of stem wall should be at same elevation...
Hi all,
I would like to know if there is anyone who is willing to show me how to accurately draw a stepped foundation in relation to existing grade. I have drawn the attached elevation, but the steps are not accurate as i tried to make them all cemeterial to one another.
Any input on the order...
Dik,
I've seen plans using 100.00'. Is the 768.00' used in your example a arbitrary number or is 768.00' common number to use on sloping grades when referencing main floor elevation?
Student here,
I would like to know if anyone can give insight as to how to translate topo elevations into a design. I am not really familiar how this is done. Nay help would be appreciated.
