Hi
We have Firetrace system installed in our electrical panels since 2017. Some piping are starting to crack. All our electrical rooms are clean, air conditioned. Have any one encounter this issue? Any idea what is the lifetime of the Firetrace tubing? Thanks
Hi
We have 2 turbo alternator exporting to utility grid. One turbo alternator tripped by reverse power and generator breaker opened. From fault recorder, we do not see a big fault or disturbance on the network. Feedback from Utility: they were switching flow of power to another substation.

Hi
We are a power plant. Since construction, lightning rod were installed on the boiler, substation 66 kV, lightning arresters on 66 kV lines and earth cables over 66 kV transmission lines. Over time 2 additional small power plants were constructed. They are not sufficiently protected against...
Hi
We have a Siemens Scada system, 2 servers, 1 process historian. We intend to renew this part as we are having some issues with 1 server. It was renewed in 2015 and previous system installed in 2007.
We have 2 power plants exporting to national grid.
We belong to an international group which...
Hi
There are Basler 250 on 3 hydro plants. We have 1 spare Basler 200 in our store for another turbo-alternator. Can the hydro plant replace their Basler 250 with Basler 200 in case of breakdown?
3 blocks have been replaced on our VSD 1.
Unit 1 is operating with VSD on ID fan
Unit 2 is operating with Soft starter on ID fan
For info
Both units are exporting same MW
we have
844 kW on aux transfo unit 1
1306 kW on aux transfo unit 2
VSD ID fan 2 operating at 36.3 Hz consuming 221 kW
ID...
Hi
We have corrosion on our 2 x 55 MVA outdoor transformers. We are located a few km from the sea. We can only maintain the transfo. during 1-2 week during annual shutdown. Has someone used sacrificial metal to protect power transformers?
In 1 week we must start the plant after annual maintenance. Else we will get penalty from utility company. We export on the grid. If we get a soft starter we can start the plant to avoid penalty.
In the long run, we will order a vsd to save energy. Even a second hand soft starter will be helpful.
One boiler is actually operating with the ID fan supplied through a soft starter. After start up, the motor is supplied through the bypass; so DOL. There is a damper to control the flue gas flow. The boiler is operating well now although with a VSD the kW consumed would be much less. Our normal...
