    NX/TC Attribute Integration

we use the Master Modeler also. We have bidirectional communication between NX and Tc. Attributes changed in Tc will change in the part and drawing (if mapped there) and if the value is changed in NX the value is changed in Tc. We use style sheets to see our attributes, not the forms.

    New to Teamcenter question

Actually, even if it is not used in an assembly you may not be able to delete it if it is referenced somewhere or by something. Just replacing the part in the latest assembly may not work either if it was used in a prior revision. You will need to remove it from all assemblies and delete any...

deformed parts moving in an assembly

After submitting to GTAC and digging into what was causing this behavior, it turned out that Ronald was 100% correct about the ABS CSYS except that we created our parts with the first CSYS as an ABS CSYS. After changing this to Dynamic CSYS, the deformed parts moved back to the position they...

    BOM notes

Sorry, I've been away for a bit. I don't know of any easy way to link a note on another sheet to the quantity value in the BOM. If you have Teamcenter you may be able to value from the structure manager or pull it from an xml sheet in NX.

deformed parts moving in an assembly

Thanks Ronald, that is not something I had thought about. I shall look in to it. Scott

    BOM notes

Is the BOM sheet part of the drawing set?

deformed parts moving in an assembly

Thanks John, that would seem to be the best, cleanest work around to the problem. I was a bit surprised that it let you convert it to sheetmetal after the deform. I guess that isn't considered as adding a feature. I filled an IR yesterday with GTAC. The behavior was show to be the same in...

deformed parts moving in an assembly

Thanks Millimeter and SvenBom for your input. Knowing the problem that NX8.5 had with NX7.5 deform parts and the mp03 fix is great. We're looking at going to 8.5 or 9 and having this knowledge before hand is very valuable. Millimeter, I was debating if alt reps would be better to "simulate" the...

deformed parts moving in an assembly

I agree completely and have started down that path. It just seems that this behavior is something that GTAC would want to know about.

deformed parts moving in an assembly

After using yours and doing modifications and alterations to try to zero in on the issue, it appears that the sheet metal is the culprit. So far it appears that the contour flange function and re-bend make the most trouble. Another oddity with the contour flange is that is you deform the part...

deformed parts moving in an assembly

Here's the 2 assemblies, one before deforming the part and one after deforming the part.http://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=c6951f6a-04f8-4629-b78d-b65cfc0534e9&file=DEFORM_ASSEMBLY.ZIP

deformed parts moving in an assembly

OK, here's something I haven't seen before. I hope someone can tell me why this is happening so I can fix it. I have a deformable part that is used in 4 places in the same assembly. The parts were made deformed in the assembly after they were all added and constrained. I also tried making the...

    Assembly Cut or Promote Body?

Surprised that it wasn't much worse but when you're using the "End to easy Design" PDM you have to expect......somethings not to work correctly? [wink]
