We are working on hydro testing the inner bowl of a jacketed pressure vessel with agitator (mixer). The lid has an air assisted seal that pressurizes and slightly lifts the lid and locks into place. My question is if we are hydro testing to 9 bar should we match the air pressure of the seal to 9 bar with a regulator? My concern is we believe the seal is passing slightly and air is entering the tank. If thats the case will there be a risk of overpressurizing? or will the air pressure match the water pressure (or whichever is greater will overcome each other)
Any questions/input is appreciated
thanks
