    Thanks for the replies :)

    O-ring as an extension spring?

The o-ring is in contact with two stainless pins and the ambient air (room temperature). Glenn

    O-ring as an extension spring?

Hello, I have an application where I would like to use an o-ring as an extension spring. It is not a heavy duty application and it is not subject to any cyclical loading. This o-ring in this mechanism is to hold tension between two pins whose center to center distance are infrequently...

Rigid Link Loading in Creo Simulate

Basic setup - Creo Simulate at PART level. Material Properties assigned. Red Arrows = Four large holes are where the part is constrained Green arrow(s) = Load acting straight down upon a rigid link established between the chamfer surfaces of the four smaller holes. Question = How do I apply...

How to Show Motion in Top Level Assembly contained in a Sub-Assembly

I've seen similar behavior where motion constraints for an item reference several different models from the same constraint set. When they reference the same model it all works. The motion constraints can be very particular to get them to work properly. Please let us know if you find a solution.

How to Show Motion in Top Level Assembly contained in a Sub-Assembly

Do the subassemblies interact (via motion constraints) at the top level? Or are they rigidly placed within the top level? -Glenn

    Filling in a hole...

I'm putting all of these options on the table at this point in hopes that someone makes the intelligent decision. Thanks again! Glenn

    Filling in a hole...

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the breakaway on the plastic housing, or a knockout on the metal plate are both options as well. Our manufacturing engineers are griping about those options though. They would rather see the difference between the two product versions limited to just a PCB change...

    Filling in a hole...

I am working on a product design where the product will have one of two PCB designs installed in it. One of the PCBs has an RJ-45 jack on it, the other doesn't. If the non-RJ-45 PCB is used, there will be a hole at the back of the product that would need to be closed. Is there an off the...

Who manufactures Ultra Extenstion Heavy Duty Drawer Slides

Can anyone tell me companies that manufacture Ultra Extenstion Heavy Duty Drawer Slides... the types found in ATMs? Sugatstune used to make them but has discontinued them. Tuma seems to make them, however their website barely works and I cannot seem to contact them. Can anyone recommend any...
