Is there a way to check if a NX drawing has got overlapping/double lines? NX10
Sometimes geometry is imported from other CAD software and has got 2 lines over eachother. We want to remove one of the lines.
Thanks, Peter
What would be the best way to export the outside faces of all components from a assembly? Any tips are welcome...
Now i have used: Linked Exterior - export Iges. This works okay, but maybe there are more techniques.
thanks in advance, Peter
Working Master Model Drawing.
Is there a way when to change a Drawing Dimension and automatically the expression of the 3D Model is also changed?
Or with other words, toc change my model in the drawing.
Thanks in Advance, Peter
MarineConcepts,
You can activate in the Part Navigator the Layer Column. Then you directly see on which Layer the object is.
Sketches can directly be moved to an other layer: mb3 on Sketch -> Move to Layer. Or use on Datum or Sketch mb3 -> Object Display.
To keep the Layer Settings window...
There are always solutions to find, Inherit Tolerance and Appended Text is still possible, but more complicated as before. We will also contact GTAC.
Same as with placing and editing Tolerances, see my Thread: "Rapid Dimensions Drafting NX9".
The name of the commanand is Rapid Dimension. More mouseclicks overall in Dimensioning in NX9 can not be explained to well known NX users.
Sorry for my frustration [mad], but this is the voice of experienced NX users @ my company.
Thans SvenBom, that's what i was looking for BUT:
in previous releases of NX you could inherit both the Tolerance AND the appended text, that's not possible anymore.
Besides the amount os MORE mouseclicks you already mentioned, this is also (my opinion) a regression in Dimensioning in Drafting...
Working in NX9.0.1.3, Drafting
I am creating a new Rapid Dimension. How to inherit a Tolerance from an already existing dimension on the drawing?
In previous releases of NX you could press mousebutton 3 and choose Inherit. Now it's gone....
Many thanks for answers, Peter.
Try edit the Style of the Diameter Dimension -> Dimension Tab (Style Menu) -> disable "Display Extension Line on Side 1 and 2" (the 2 vertical Lines).
Peter
Carlharr,
I know i need to select the point, BUT, can you imagine how to explain this to users who are used to simply select the Centerline they were used to in previous releases? That's my point in all the issues concerning Rapid Dimension.
Peter
Cubalibre,
I thinks this is not normal. Icons should be there. Hopefully next release.
JohnRBaker,
I understand your video and the way of working. We have to get used to it, but users complain about more mouseclicks when placing a dimension with tolerance (than in previous releases), and they...
