Inherit Tolerance NX9.0.1.3

Working in NX9.0.1.3, Drafting

I am creating a new Rapid Dimension. How to inherit a Tolerance from an already existing dimension on the drawing?

In previous releases of NX you could press mousebutton 3 and choose Inherit. Now it's gone....

Now, you have to press mousebutton 3 and select Settings. IN new dialog box, you will see at the bottom of the dialog box the option Inherit. There, you can select Selected Object and then click on the dimension, from which you want to inherit those settings.

Here you can also select Interih from Preferences or customer defaults.

More clicking, but also more options.

Thans SvenBom, that's what i was looking for BUT:
in previous releases of NX you could inherit both the Tolerance AND the appended text, that's not possible anymore.

Besides the amount os MORE mouseclicks you already mentioned, this is also (my opinion) a regression in Dimensioning in Drafting NX9. The NX Drafting environment is really improved over the last years. Unfortunately Dimensioning in NX9 isn't.

Yea, it sure was nice when you could inherit the appended text, way back when.
I wish I could help you with the "inerit tolerance" thing.

Again, more clicking but it can be done.
1. if I click with right mouse button (RMB) on the dimension and select Settings, the inherit option will inherit tolerances only
2. if you click with RMB on the dimension and select Edit Appended Text, you have again the Inherit option at the bottom of this dialog box. This Inherit will inherit the appended text from another dimension.

The name of the commanand is Rapid Dimension. More mouseclicks overall in Dimensioning in NX9 can not be explained to well known NX users.
Sorry for my frustration , but this is the voice of experienced NX users @ my company.

I am also dissapointed with some things. I agree with you, that RAPID should mean faster and less clicks. But at the moment, all I can do is finding the solution, which works. And then contact GTAC.

There are always solutions to find, Inherit Tolerance and Appended Text is still possible, but more complicated as before. We will also contact GTAC.

Same as with placing and editing Tolerances, see my Thread: "Rapid Dimensions Drafting NX9".

I could create a journal to inherit tolerance/inherit appended text, if you are interested. Not quite as nice as a built-in command, but possibly a workable solution.
