Howdy y'all,
I have a client who bought an existing building and site and will have semi trucks delivering loads of chicken parts for redistribution. He wants to install a gravel turn-around/maneuvering area for the trucks at the back of his building where there's an existing loading dock. There...
Thanks for your advice, cdafd. Still not quite following you, though. I added another plan view. I show 150' as measured from 2 points on the main road, which covers the side paralleling the road and part of the back and front sides. Then I show the truck parked at the northwestern front corner...
Building dimensions 139' x 72'. 40' front setback. It doesn't look like I can cover the entire exterior with 150' hose lays. May need to sprinkle the building.
Hey, thanks for your response. The 150' is no problem, but turning a fire truck around would be almost impossible. It's a one story building so no ladder trucks at least. I could probably take out a few parking spaces at the western-most corner and increase the width of the drive there to 24'...
Howdy, everyone,
I'm designing a commercial site for a 10,000 s.f. medical office building. The site is tight, only an acre, kind of long and narrow. I laid the building out with the long side (the "front") perpendicular to the public street. One double loaded parking lot (18' stalls, 24'...
Wow, that's discouraging. I had a piping contractor give me a price of $140 per linear foot. He said that's includes everything - mobilization, materials, equipment, and labor (not counting setting 2 manholes). That would work out. But $625 is probably a project killer. I guess I need to do more...
Hi, folks,
I'm working on a project in Hall County, Georgia, where I may need to tie into a sewer line on the opposite side of a state highway. Does anyone have any approximate per linear foot costs for jacking and boring or directional drilling? That, and any advice you might have on the...
Thanks, folks, for all the suggestions. I think I can keep the grade at no more than 2%. The "park facing so they pull out downhill" is a great idea, as is shifting parking and lanes after every event. Not sure how to handle the shoe problem. High heals will probably even sink into woodchip or...
Hi, folks!
I'm designing a parking lot for an agri-entertainment site, specifically a farm wedding venue. Guests will be parking on grass (basically a pasture). What's the maximum slope I can have for automobile parking on grass? This venue will only have one or two weddings a week, so wear and...
