hi,
my procedure like this:
-head--->shell--->head--->manway--->sump as a nozzle without flange--->sump head--->select parent nozzle.
but i can not flip this sump head even though i clicked on flip icon.
pls instruct me.
Thanks Mandeep.
now i can build it nearly finish. but there is just one thing make me confuse is that i can not change the direction of head from inside to outside as attachment
please give me some instructions.
thanks a lot...
should you refer to ASME Code as attachment herewith

Yes, you right. I just tell him that the equipment is required PWHT by process reasons (on data sheet)specified by Contractor or by applicable code, the document shall be submitted just for checking PWHT procedure. It is done by vendor.
you should refer to ASME Sec. II part C for " Specifications for welding rods, electrodes and filer metal.
anyway it is also based on welding process performance.
regards.
hi,
- loads imposed to nozzle shall be taken from piping engineer with piping stress analysis sofware or from supplier if it is mounted with machinery such as agitator. and then you have to perform strength calculation for this nozzle with allowable stress based on nozzle material by software...
MJC,
i just wonder when skirt, bracket, leg is used for supporting vertical vessel? is it depended on size of vertical vessel? diameter, length of vessel, loading, etc.?
TPN.
Chaulklate,
what is software you use for strength calculation of pressure vessel, compress software?
how can i add a head instead of flange in "nozzle element detail"? i can not find input data box for head there. just have input data box for flange only.
please advise me how i can do that...
hi all,
Now I read the overview of Pressure vessel design from ASME. They say that small vertical drums typically supported by legs. But I don't know what is considered as small vertical drum.
Someone please instruct me.
Thanks a lot.
