Femap - a how to simulate a projectile punching through a plate tutorial

Thank you Thomas. That's what I have been thinking about too.

Femap - a how to simulate a projectile punching through a plate tutorial

Right, I figured out too that the current version apparently does not have an explicit sequence within. Thank you.

Femap - a how to simulate a projectile punching through a plate tutorial

Yes, this is in line with my thoughts. I'm inclined to setup an explicit analysis. It's going to be a ball hitting a composite plate.

Femap - a how to simulate a projectile punching through a plate tutorial

I am interested in getting a Femap tutorial to simulate a projectile punching through a plate. A file with an example would work as well.

FLDS, Flight Loads - wing with winglet

I am simulating a wing with a winglet as Flat Plate panels stiched together as usual and coupled with the structural model. Nevertheless after running an analysis the result shows that the aerodynamic panels of the winglet are torn away from the main wing aerodynamic panels as shown at the...

Problem with buckling analysis in MSC Nastran

I am running analysis of a composite hull with several bulkheads. F06 ends as follows with no results for eigenvectors values returned. Does anybody have any idea why? *** USER INFORMATION MESSAGE 5010 (LNCILD) STURM SEQUENCE DATA FOR EIGENVALUE EXTRACTION. TRIAL EIGENVALUE =...

    Failure Index for composites

I am analysing a glass fiber composite structure with PATRAN/NASTRAN. My F06 file contains results in terms of failure index as well, but when the results are attached the only options I have are constraints forces, displacements and stresses. How to view the results for failure index?
