Transient analysis of cable under gravity

@jiang46602 NLGEOM is ON, and I tried this prestress effect and nothing changed. Do you have another suggestion? Thanks a lot

Transient analysis of cable under gravity

Hi, I'm working on a model of inclined cable, consisting of LINK 180 element in transient analysis under the effect of its own weight only. I added an imaginary damper to damp the oscillation to reduce numerical error. The model works correctly as long as the "TENSION ONLY" KEYOPT in LINK 180...

How SCADA Systems communicate with each other

Hi, I would like to know how to interface and communicate several SCADA systems with each other, the governing communication protocols, and the codes and standards that regulate the design of such systems. Thanks a lot.

Modeling of a wheel on Simmechanics

Just the relation between the rotational speed and linear speed and the kinematic friction acting on the wheel.

Modeling of a wheel on Simmechanics

@Greg: Thanks for your reply. I'm just modeling a simple cart model as I'm not concerned with the wheel-soil interaction and the surface is flat, just friction on the wheels. I'm supposed to test control algorithm on the motors.

Modeling of a wheel on Simmechanics

Hi, I'm working on a cart model that is moving on a horizontal surface. I want to model the wheels rotation on the horizontal surface and add motors to the joint connecting the wheels to the model of the cart. My problem is how to model the connection between the wheel and the surface. Can...
