Which viscosity (kinematic or absolute) for piston and diaphragm pump ?

Wow you explain better than my fluid mechanics teatcher. It is very clear for me now. But I think we still need to determine the fluid density if the pump has to pump fluids vertically. Because pressure depends also fluid density (P = rho*g*h). However, in my case, the height is only 3 meters...

Which viscosity (kinematic or absolute) for piston and diaphragm pump ?

Thanks electricpete for the explaination. So I guess the kinematic viscosity is only useful for liquid "free fall", Am I right ? The height between the top of the mixer and the pump is only about three meters. I'm going to check the SG of these fluid and multiplying all them by 2 in order have...

Which viscosity (kinematic or absolute) for piston and diaphragm pump ?

It's for a small food precessing plant. The pumping system will be use to pump different type of fluids into a big mixer and heater. I know the relationship between absolute viscosity and kinemattic viscosity. What bother me is the absolute viscosity depends also SG. This means even though the...

Which viscosity (kinematic or absolute) for piston and diaphragm pump ?

Hello pumps specialists Which viscosity should I look at it (kinematic or absolute) if I use a piston or diaphram pump to displace same volume of diffent fluids in a same piping ? The reason why the piston or diaphram pump were chosen, because the fluid could be newtonian or non newtonian. Thanks

best glue for nylon fabric and for protecting seams

Thanks berkshir for your thought. Hot glue for fabric could be an another good candidate. I want to apologize to you guys and gals for ommiting, at the beginning, to give you more details regarding why I need a glue to bond the nylon fabrics. Actually, I need this glue for my minimalistic...

best glue for nylon fabric and for protecting seams

According this manufaturer, your candidate look very promising. http://www.americansealantsinc.com/asi-306-electronic-grade-silicone-sealant-adhesive/ Thank again Mike! you're very resourcefull!! Now I'm going to find some samples to verify the wettability with the fabrics. Thanks again Mike...

best glue for nylon fabric and protect seams

Excellent idea !! Thanks very much for your help! Now everybody will discuss in same place and I don't have to check two places for reply. You're synonyms of efficiency [thumbsup2]. Thanks again Mike!! Steve

best glue for nylon fabric and protect seams

Hi Mike I posted my thread two places because the topic is related to glue/sealant and textile and I want maximized the chance that someone has knowledge regarding textile and glue/sealant will read my thread.

best glue for nylon fabric and for protecting seams

Thanks berkshire for the tip and I really appreciated for your help. I already tried silicon sealant but it is too "thick" or too viscous. I need something fluid enough to "wet" deeply the fabrics and to fill gaps between fabrics and stiches holes (something that has surfactant proterty). Do you...

best glue for nylon fabric and for protecting seams

Hello What is the best glue or sealant for bonding nylon fabrics together and for protecting seams from elements (rain, snow). The glue or sealant must be flexible and had little elastic proprety. The temperature of exposition range from -15C to 50C. Anyway thanks for any advice.
