    Monorail Crane/Hoist Beam Markings

Thanks Ya'll. OSHA just says it has to be legible from the ground, so that's what I'm going to go with.

    Monorail Crane/Hoist Beam Markings

I'm certifying some monorail crane beams for a customer. The customer wants the rails (All I-beams) marked with the load capacity. I've looked into the ASME B30.11 and B30.16 for the marking requirements but they only mention the actual lifting equipment (marking the hoists, lifting equipment...

    UMBRELLA ROOF FOR API-650 TANKS

Good day Ya'll. I'm specking an API-650 type tank to hold potable water. I understand what a dome and cone roof would look like, but the spec's description of an umbrella roof is a little vague. Does anybody have a source for what one of these roofs would look like, or how they're...

    400 HZ REACTANCE CURVES

Thanks 7anoter4 & dpc, I'll look into it. I found an old standard from the ICEA that lists dc resistance and derating factors for various cables. The standard is P-43-457 1965! FYI Thanks again

    400 HZ REACTANCE CURVES

Good Day, Does anybody know a good source for cable reactance curves for 400hz ac power? My design has a 400 hz, 60 hp g-rater with a distribution panel with 20 and 30 amp branch circuits.

Thermal Overload Device w/ VFD and PLC

Thanks everybody, I will rap my brain around your comments. As far as the last few comments, I will incorporate them into the design. Make's good sence. Thanks again.

Thermal Overload Device w/ VFD and PLC

I should mention that there is a 20hp vfd controlling (4) 5hp motors with a line reactor on the load side of the vfd feeding into (4) OLR's (one for each motor). Thus "the system".

Thermal Overload Device w/ VFD and PLC

Good Day, My guestion is: can you use a thermal overlaod relay without subsequent contactors on the load side of a vfd? Then use the signal from the relay to a plc to shut down the system. The system being multible motors with acme screws in a lift (non-personnel) application.
