Hi,

Hi,
I want to create pattern of some "circular section" in a spline(wavy). I can do linear pattern or circular pattern but I can not pattern my feature on some wavy line(spline). Is there any way to do it. I have uploaded a picture of the part that I am trying to create model.
I appreciate...
I do not have access to youtube site from the office network. Is there any text reference or other sites where I can look this thing in details? Please let me know.
Thanks,
But how do I combine? I open part 2 first and then import part 1 as IGES file. But then I can not do anything.
I would appreciate if you could explain how to import part 1 in part 2.
Thanks a lot.
Hi,
I have 2 parts. I want to subtract one part from another part. Basically I want to remove part 1's material from part 2 because in the assembly part1 will be inside part 2.
Part 1 solid is very complicated and I do not want to go through the same features in the part 2 solid. I just want to...
Yes, I have seen that option. Here I can only extend one face. I can close corner by butt, overlap or underlap joint.
But instead of extending, I want to rotate that face and match with the other flange which is located at 90 degree angle.
I do not understand why they do not have the option for...
I have a rectangular sheet metal part. I have done edge flange on four sides. Each flange is separate from another. How can I join the corner side of 2 nearby flanges?
Any help will be highly apppreciated.
Thanks,
It will be used as a hand pump. So we can neglect the temperature effect of the plastic.
The material of construction is PVC.
Is there any reference on the clearance?
Thanks,
Hi,
I have to design a plastic reciprocating pump. Cylinder size is 3.126+/- 0.001. I will have to decide the piston size. I have already designed the O rings from the standard guides. I am not able to find any reference on piston cylinder clearance. Any help will be highly appreciated. I saw...
Dustin,
Thank you for this information. I am new in solidworks and don't know what I could do and what I could not.
I am learing it piece by piece. Thank all of you for your help.
Jeff,
I am just practicing different sheet metal features in a single part. I always try to dimension all the parts. But this case is different.
Here my intention is to close that corner( no gap at all).
I want a nice smooth join between two edge flanges.
May be there is another way to...
Thank you Jeff. I increased the bend radius and it's working fine.
Though I am not sure why people use this "closed corner". I still see a small gap exits between two flange-edges.
How about the corner edge? The corner looks very bad when I use overlap or underlap feature.
I am attaching the...
Here is the file. I am trying to close the corner between two edge flanges.
May be I am not doing it right way. I would appreciate if you check it.
Thanks,

Hi,
I am trying to use "closed corner" between two edge flange. Every time it says "one of the face is corrupt". I angled the flanges but it still doesn't work. I tried to edit the flange sketchs so that faces going further away( but bottom edge touches) and still I am having the same problem...
Handleman,
I was trying your tips. When I hold down ctrl, I can drop the view anywhere on the sheet. But later it aligns with other views. Is there anyway I can fix it in the place where I put it? I was using "Aligned section view" and it places the view either in horizontal position or...
