Hi,
I've recently sent MPPO & PAS (both glass filled) for lab test to determine the level of flourine & chlorine. To my surprise the level of both elements were very high.
MPPO - flourine : >2000 ppm, chlorine : nd
PAS - flourine : nd, chlorine : >2000 ppm
Upon checking with the material...
Hi,
I need help here.
ISO14001 Clause 4.4.3 Communication
sub para
"The organization shall decide whether to communicate externally about its significant environmental aspects, and shall document its decision. If the decision is to communicate, the organization shall establish and...
Thanks for the input. The requirements are able withstand temperature up to 200 degC & won't peel easily especially at post-bake. The substrates are from engineering plastic with glass filled. I want to apply it using the silk screen method.

Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a temperature-indicator ink available? It's similar to the time-indicator ink. Our product will go through a baking process at our customer's site. The use of temperature indicator will help them on their anti-recycling program.
Thanks

Does anyone know about turbulence flow inducer placed inside the cooling channel of a mold? The purpose is to produce turbulence flow that can help to improve heat exchange. I read it once in a magazine but can't remember the details.

Carbon black is added to achieve conductivity. The percentage is already at the threshold value where anything lower will make it fail to meet the requirement. The alternatives are carbon fiber, stainless steel fiber or other IDP additive. The issues with these alternatives are higher cost &...
Hi,
The product is casing/small container & the process is injection molding. PPO is used due to its ability to withstand moderate baking temperature. Carbon black is used because it is very cost effective. In another word, they're all given factors.
Can the surface finish of the insert affect...
Hi,
I'm producing a casing from a glass filled mPPO material. One of the requirement is to have surface conductivity. In order to fulfill this, we use carbon black as the conductive additive. The problem is I found the surface of the molded part tends to form blister or loose debris. The...
Hi,
Does anyone have any information on carbon coated glass fiber as alternative to carbon fiber? I'm looking for source, price, properties etc. Does it really cheaper than the carbon fiber?? Currently I'm using thermoplastic polymer with carbon fiber as the conductive additive.
Thanks

Hi there,
What are the differences between Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometer(ICP-MS)and Inductively Coupled Plasma-Atomic Absorption Spectrometer(ICP-AAS)?
Thanks

hi there,
Does anyone knows if we can blend mPPO and mPPE together and shot using injection molding machine? I'm using carbon-fiber filled mPPO to obtain certain strength and ESD value. I've experience mixing carbon-fiber filled mPPO and carbon-powder filled mPPO and and end up at no ESD...
Does any of you guys out there have any experience with carbon and fiber filled polymer (eg. mppo) or carbon filled polymer (PPE)? I am trying to figure out what are the differences between both in molecular structure/interaction and physical behavior. I having difficulty to control the...
