I have noticed that by providing the vertical offset in SAFE 12 a very impressive 3d graphic display is generated. There is no physical change in the actual model as neither it effects the deflection values nor any slab moments. So I don’t understand why this command is there? Do anyone know...

As per ACI-318 it is 200/Fy so for 60 ksi min reinforcement will be 200/60000*8*14=.37 inch^2 i.e. 2 1/2" dia bar.
While as per BS-8110 it is .13% so min reinforce ment required is .14 inch^2 but normaly we not go for less than 1/2" dia i.e. #4 bar in beam. so still have to use 2-#4...
