    PDF to Vector

I've used Inkscape in the past. It's free and open source and available for mac, PC and Linux. You can take a PDF or even a jpeg and convert it to a vector format. Then you can save it as a DXF file which is able to be opened by AutoCAD.

    Compiling an shp file

OK. We're getting closer. Last try...I promise. *2,13,SINE 11,(97,159,0,1,-044),11,(97,159,0,1,044),0 *3,10,SINE1 13,(5,0,-95),(5,0,95),(0,0),0 The fractional arc form has some unexpected behavior. It seems like the offset from the octet boundary is measured dependent on the direction of the...

    Compiling an shp file

Hmmm The autodesk example was unclear on one of the parameters so I think it should actually be: *2,13,SINE2 11,(159,97,0,1,-033),11,(97,159,0,1,043),0 However, this is probably simpler: *3,9,SINE3 13,(5,0,-95),(5,0,95),(0,0) Thanks for your help Carl! Anyone have any compiler recommendations?

The sine wave is just a circle arc above the line followed by an arc below the line. Based on all the reading I've done, I'll need to create an shp file defining the...

    Utility P&ID Sample

When I worked for Cargill, their utility P&IDs would have several rectangles on each utility page labeled with a standard P&ID page number and show the pipes entering or leaving (see attached example). The PIP does not mention anything like this and probably suggests using utility connectors...

    Utility P&ID Sample

I'm working on developing P&IDs for a large facility that I work at. I have the sample of the PIP P&ID standard and I've been following that as closely as I can for the main processing areas. However, the sample document does not contain the Utility P&ID sample. Does anyone have a Utility...

    EROEI

I saw the question above: >Hmm... I'd be interested if anyone knows of any plants burning fuel ethanol in the boilers of their ethanol plants!:) and had to post the following piece from the air permit of a Kentucky bourbon distillery: -----------begin snip------------- Emissions Unit 08...
