Utility P&ID Sample

I'm working on developing P&IDs for a large facility that I work at. I have the sample of the PIP P&ID standard and I've been following that as closely as I can for the main processing areas. However, the sample document does not contain the Utility P&ID sample.

Does anyone have a Utility P&ID page which conforms to the PIP standard they would be willing to share? By all means remove any proprietary information before uploading it. I just want to make sure that what I've been doing matches reasonable well.

The utility P&ID's are like the process P&ID's - except that they somewhate reflect the plant layout. Picture the main pipe racks and brances for distributing water, nitrogen, steam, air etc. to process equipment, utitily stations, safety showers, analyzer shelters, equipment buildings, etc.

When I worked for Cargill, their utility P&IDs would have several rectangles on each utility page labeled with a standard P&ID page number and show the pipes entering or leaving (see attached example). The PIP does not mention anything like this and probably suggests using utility connectors for each connection, correct?

Where I worked we used the Titles:

1) "Steam Generation Piping & Instrument Diagram"
This was in the classic format of a normal P&ID and covered the Steam System out to the boundary of the Boiler House.


2) "Utility Distribution Diagram"
These diagrams (1 or many) were the simplified Plot Plan oriented diagram that showed the main distribution headers, the branch laterals into each Unit and the sub-laterals and branches within the Unit. This display manner allow for proper Utility line sizing.
