    carbon black handling

Greeting, I am presently working on an applications that involves packaging carbon black. I don’t have a lot of experience with this product and I wish to know if anybody could answer some of my questions. I would be discharging a railcar into a bin inside our building, and then package...

    lift truck

No, it's just that some company simply change the lift truck after 10000hr. Anyway, it seem that even with a managing system, most of the time you need to change the lift truck between 8000-12000hr.

    lift truck

Hi, In my company, in order to better manage our lift truck fleet, we have been keeping records of lift-truck hours and maintenance costs for some time. With the analysis of this accumulated data and of the present situation of local lift-truck market; We are on the verge of a decision in terms...

    fluidizing a railcar

I've talked with one supplier, and he recommended a linear vibrator, which is better (rather than a rotary vibrator) for materials less than 70 pounds per cubic foot. They suggested a 3.5 inches piston. For the one I have, I dont have any equipment to verify at what frequency it's turning...

    fluidizing a railcar

Hi, We presently unload terephthalic acid (white crystaline powder) from a rail car by gravity. The problem we have is that when the compartment is almost empty, we need to fluidize the railcar with nitogen. We use a pneumatic rotary vibrator to enhance the flow, but it doesnt seem enough to...

    belts cracking

The two mill that I talked about are exactly the same with the sames conditions. It's the same mechanic that do both replacement of belt. So, no over tension, operator abuse, under tension, oil, wrong part, temperature... but it may be the sheaves, torsional vibration or something else...

    belts cracking

Hi, I have to disc mills of the same model here. But I have some problem with one: the belts are cracking faster and must be replace more often. The two mills are exaclty the same and grind the same product. I think maybe a deflection between the two sprockets could cause this problem. What...

    bounding and grounding

I recently got a new job in a plant that do repackaging and plastic grinding. Everything here is pretty old, and almost nothing nothing is grounded! An other problem I have with this is that the building is made of wood, so I cannot ground the machines to the structure. Now, I need to...

    neutralise calcium peroxyde

The fire started in a machine. There was several pallets with calcium peroxide near by that burned with it. The whole section had been destroyed. Now, I must clean up this mess. I doubt we will need to spray water because of the large amount of water used by the fire fighter, and it rained...

    neutralise calcium peroxyde

We had a fire here, ivolving calcium peroxyde. Now I guess, after the heat and water, only Ca(OH)2 is left

    sodium thiocyanate solution

Hi, Im presently working on a process of making solution of NaSNC-water in a large tank. For the design purpose, I must determine the heat loss when the NaSNC will be added to hot water. Do anybody know if this will create a endothermic reaction, like other sodium product.
