    Condensate Vessel Pressure Drop

No, it's a gas/teg exchanger. I'm going to check the DT (gas/teg) as you suggest

    Condensate Vessel Pressure Drop

I think you may have something here, thanks. Is it possible I have TEG carryover and it is freezing in the separator ?? I'm going to try and increase the temperature by slipstreaming a little gas past the coolers and see what happens.

    Condensate Vessel Pressure Drop

KF on rich and lean TEG shows 8.6 & 0.2. Moisture meter is brand new, only fitted last month and was calibrated then.

    Condensate Vessel Pressure Drop

Yes, that is the set up I have a moisture analyser at TEG unit outlet so I know it's 0.2 lbs/mmscf and most of the water is taken off by the nitrogen membranes and removed via the KO drums before it even gets to the TEG contactor column (yes I have gas stripping in regen unit) I have injection...

    Condensate Vessel Pressure Drop

There is a MeOH injection system and the problem persists with or without injection on. The upstream is simply a feed from TEG dehydration plant. CAPEX was indeed the reason for compressor choice.

    Condensate Vessel Pressure Drop

Even if true that would not explain anything as the up and down steam pressures both cycle. I have discovered (by fitting local PI) that the pressure drop is across a much wider section of the process and extends to the downstream cooler exchangers though

    Condensate Vessel Pressure Drop

There is a nitrogen removal (membrane based) system upstream which removes most of moisture

    Condensate Vessel Pressure Drop

Yes vessel in question is labelled LTS. The JT valve is the one upstream on it's inlet. 25 F 850 psig 90 mmscfd 0.2 lbs/mmscf water content HYSIS tells me hydrate formation not possible until water content is >4lbs/mmscf I would add that this high DP does not cause me any problems !! There is...

    TEG Contactor Efficiency

I don't need too much accuracy so I've took samples of lean and rich TEG .. 0.8% and 7% ... I can work out a rough efficiency from this

    Condensate Vessel Pressure Drop

Horizontal Both on same level Condensate is fine, may possibly have very low content of lube oil from compressor injection No additives https://files.engineering.com/getfile.aspx?folder=f7e61c9f-1806-468b-accf-35065ffb545e&file=IMG_1138.jpg

    Condensate Vessel Pressure Drop

I have gas at 1500 psig dropping to 850 psig across a JT valve. The resultant condensate from the letdown flows into a 2 phase separator through a Schoepentoeter baffle with liquid flowing out to further processing and gas coming out through a demister. I am seeing at certain times a DP across...

    TEG Contactor Efficiency

Thanks, yeah I know this but I don't have the data. I could get it but I was just looking to see if anyone had any idea from experience of a rough efficiency of a typical system. It's not critical enough for me to spend time doing the calcs. I was thinking about 95% removal of entrained water ?

    TEG Contactor Efficiency

Anyone give me rough idea of the efficiency of a TEG dehydration system ? For example if I have 10 lbs/mmscf of water in the inlet gas what should I get out ? I'm thinking it should be 1 lb/mmscf and the efficiency is 90% ?

    Lube oil carry over

I'll take a look thanks but our process team think the gas oil content is too low for a cyclone system to work
  15. B62plant

    Lube oil carry over

I think I'd be creating more problems than I have already trying to pre chill the gas. I'll see what PEKO tells me and post results.

    Lube oil carry over

I'm having iso kinetic testing done by slipstreaming through a portable pilot plant. This will show me exactly what particles are there with a laser particle counter. $30,000 a day this is costing !!!

    Lube oil carry over

No, it's a hydrocarbon system there is no air/O2. The pressure and temp are consistent and similar at the end of the 16km pipeline other than usual frictional losses. After 16KM it enters the client network and that's where they are getting the 20-30 litres of lube oil out. We are the only...

    Lube oil carry over

I think you are probably correct as I am taking samples at 3 points along the export line 1km and 2 km (total length 6km). I am finding about 500ml at each mid point. I don't have access to the end of pipeline as it is the client's plant but it is at this point that they are picking up the lube...

    Lube oil carry over

Already tried that, not because I suspected pulsation problems, I just tried it anyway as am clutching at straws now !! No effect. Got meeting with PIKO next week to discuss their elements, maybe PALL are just not compatible with Mapara 220 lube oil ?

    Lube oil carry over

Thanks for reply a) yes, levels are accurate b) 60 litres a month (2 litres a day) is being recovered at the pig receiver. No degassing at machines, all lube oil is carried over into discharged gas. Inject 17 litres a day. Mass balance based on what we drain at coalescer plus 2 litres adds up...
