Does anybody know how to quantify the performance difference when using 60/40 egw instead of water in a chiller evaporator that uses R134a refrigerant?
I understand that portable air cooled chillers loose cooling capacity at higher ambient temperatures. My question is, how does high humidity affect the cooling capacity? is humid hot air worst than dry hot air?
Thanks
Does anybody know of a product out there that converts not only voltage but frequency? I work for a chiller manufacturer company and I constantly have customers asking if theycan convert our 230VAC 60 Hz units to 115 VAC 50 HZ. I know there are voltage converters and frquency conveters. Is ther...
I am looking for information on how to calculate the cooling capacity loss by a recirculating chiller due to operation in a humid environment. The chiller coolant, typically supplied via a rubber hose to a process to be cooled, condenses the water vapor in the air. Lets say the collant...
The 1gpm stream would heat up to 52.6 C, while the 3gpm stream will heat up to 46.3 C. What is the resulting temeperature when these two streams converge again to 4gpm??
My question is: How do you find the equivalent water temperature in a series or parallel system? Ex: you have 4 gpm of water @ 45 C splitting into two legs of which one 1gpm leg absorbs 2 kW of heat and the other 3 gpm leg absorb 1 kW. Whatis the equivalent temperature coming out of these two...
You want to use the specific heat equation: Q = m x Cp x DeltaT
Q = Heat load (BTU/hr)
m = mass flow rate (lbs/hr)
Cp = specific heat of coolant
DeltaT = temperature differential between inlet and outlet
From this formula: Tin = Tout + Q/mCp
Tin = 120 + 150000/(10 gpm x 66.4...
