    thank you! all i could find was the 3.3.14 and fig 3-14 but it was not defined where the depth was measured.

    does anyone know where the real definition of the ANSI depth symbol is? if i use the depth symbol ( the one that has a straight horizontal bar with an arrow pointing down at its midpoint ) where is this depth measured if is defining a drilled hole? My view would show a hole with a drill point...
