Hi,
PROBLEM: The JT assembly model exports I have recently* made are all coming out jagged edged when I open said JT file in VizMockup. All round objects (spheres, cones, cylinders, etc.) are hexagonal/polygonal. I've tweaked the UG/NX JT Export settings and get little to nothing and even worse...
I'm actually designing a house in UG (yeah... slightly overkill, but I deteste AutoCAD).
Perspetive views are very useful in the architectural drawing.
It just seems wierd that you cannot have it.
That method doesn't work as I've tried that before.
It gives an error that says you cannot do perspectives. Maybe it's the NX2? Does NX3 allow it?
Thanks
The UG seats at work are QuadroPro, so you cannot go wrong with that. The first Sager I got had some ATI, but like NKWHEELGUY said... it sucked. The card couldn't handle it at all. Then they happen to come out with the QP card and I was in heaven!
If you have money ($3600), go SAGER or like. They have QuadroPro card option and can get beyond 2G RAM.
Dell is not so great. I'd take the HP business models for protable workstation over the Dells.
I have Acrobat 7 Pro and it seems like it will allow you to import 3D view, but when I tried to import a Product Vision file, it didn't work. I thought Vis Mockup was an allowable format???
Sorry this sounds so stupid, but why doesn't UG display the actual THICKNESSES of Lines and/or Fonts when you select the thicker options in the corresponding EDIT functions?
Are they just for when you plot? I've only been plotting to PDF so far and it doesn't even change thicknesses when I do...
Was wanting to use UG for some architectural drawings (yeah... overkill, but I deteste AutoCAD), but the selection of FONTS is bizarre.
Where can I DL other FONTS?
Thanks!
I have a Sager 9800 series with an Nvidia QuadroPro video card. With 2G RAM, UG looks EXACTLY like it does on my laptop as it does at work on the workstation.
$3600 total.
You can look for the HP Business class. It isn't a brick like the Sager and other 17" gaming laptops, which is what mine...
Sorry for the newbie question, but I cannot seem to be able to IMPORT a DXF or DWG file into UG.
I select IMPORT/DXF-DWG and when I try to import it into existing Work Part, it tells me Drawings cannot be imported into work part... blah, blah.
Then I try IMPORTing into New Part. I name the...
UGNX2...
I created drawings from an Assembly file in a computer at work. Then I transfered the files to my home computer, which has a totally different folder structure.
When I open the drawing files, none of the components open (were found), because the components could not be found per the...
