well
think about if you were to say the wall was going to be stepped.
the only way to do it would be to do a bunch of cuts from the top down and then draft the faces afterwards.
is there a way to basically split the surface and tell pro/e that the thickness normal to that surface is this...
say you had a block that you wanted to shell to get a box with an open top.
However, you want the wall thickness to change as you are going up towards the opening. Obviously you could jsut build extrusion on top of extrusion, but this is a more complicated situation where say the part is...
I also attempted to create the disks in context so that the seed hole location was referenced by the spline and then linear pattern. But again, with linear pattern, it still wouldn't copy the references for that feature, it merely translated.
There is a post about a helical pattern, but it...
Anyone ever figure out a way to do this?
Basically you are trying to do a circular pattern while doing a linear pattern at the same time right?
I'm trying to stack circular plates with arrays of holes in them. But at each level of the stack, the plate needs to be rotated slightly by the center...
I am looking for manufacturers mainly.
In my application, coolant will be passed through the "tubes" and air across the fins.
The air side must have as low of pressure drop as possible.
Single pass (in one side, out the other) is what I am hoping to find.
With the multitude of forums this could be placed in, I decided to place it here to hopefully get some ideas.
I'm looking for small (compact) heat exchangers. Tube and fin or similar design.
They do not require end tanks, and thus modular sections are workable.
Any ideas would be greatly...
I should have made a posting when I figured out how to do it.
Instead of using the sheet metal function, this is how I did it:
1. created a frame assembly where pipes were overlapping each other
2.in each pipe that had to be fishmouthed i did a copy feature and copied the surfaces of the pipes...
okay, so anyone that is following my progress
i got to the point where I can make my pipe
make a rip
and then flatten the pipe
then i can make the pipe
make the fishmouthed cuts
but now I cannot make the rip to allow me to flatten it (i get an error stating that I have to resolve the feature...
basically, i have a pipe, that is connected to some other pipes at a node.
for welding, we remove sections of certain pipes so that they mate well with pipes that have their surface intact.
(fish mouthing)
I need to determine the path of this fishmouth for a CNC laser cutter. What is the...
Specifically, I'm looking for a low profile truss head machine screw void of any provisions for screwdrivers. (low profile of approximately 1-2mm thickness or less)
The shank needs to be semi-threaded at the bottom. Diameter of approximately 2mm.
Does not need to be metric.
I know this may...
