There is a new situation about this case. Although a simple model with initial stress and connectors give results in Abaqus 2017 without any error, the same model in Abaqus 2019 ended with an error which I mentioned before. Do you have any idea about the reason of this situation?
Actually, my model read initial stress from a .odb file and this file is generated from another model which includes just related two parts (without any connectors). so, it is like below in the input file and there is no any set near this part.
** Name: IC-1 Type: Stress
*Initial Conditions...
Without connectors my model run properly. While I defining predefined field, I am picking just related elements not connectors. However, I noticed that initial stress is defined for the first parts (alphabetically) in my model regardless of my picked set. Could independent meshing for the parts...
I understood. So, could the nodes which I defined predefined field conflict the nodes of connectors? Could such a case cause to confuse the model about assigning initial stress?
I have a model which contains some parts having initial stress. I defined this initial stress by using predefined field feature. However, I took an error 'Initial conditions specified on 1 elements are illegal for those elements. The elements have been identified in element set...
I think that contact property with no separation and rough friction behavior is valid for explicit analysis, am I right? My analysis is not explicit. Now I am trying to create normal behavior (hard contact) and tengential behaviour (defining high friction). I can try the cohesive behavior which...
Hello,
My model is multistep (2 step) analysis (standard). In first step, a part is bended and then it should be bonded to other parts in second step. So, in order to create the contact in second step, I have to use contact pair because tie contact constraint cannot be deactivate/activate...
When I am running my model in Abaqus, I took 'ABAQUS/standard rank 0 received the SIGABRT signal' error in different time step in every running job. What is the reason of it? Could you tell me the reason of it, please?
Note: I took solutions for different load directions with the same model.
Hi guys,
I used PRESS output variable for my current study. It gave pressures of all nodes in nucleus part. Then, I calculated mean value of them by using 'operate on XY data' feature. Thus, I took logical results.
Thank you
Note: I will try fluid cavity method for my further studies.
Thanks for your suggestions. I tired fluid cavity model before but standard meshing method is proper and easier for my FE model. The nucleus part is already separated from intervertebral disc. So, I will try to use PRESS output variable.
Hi,
I have a vertebra FE model in Abaqus. I can probe the related stresses but I don't know how to measure total pressure in nucleus of an intervertebral disc. Is there any way for this?(For example, I can obtain total facet forces from history outputs)
Best regards
I generate the .inp by using write input on job manager tab. Then, when I go to the work folder, right click on the folder (.cae) while maintaining shift, there is no "open a command line here" choice to click. Is there any suggestion of you?
I will try the method which you mentioned. However, I didn't need such a way to run an overnight job simulation without the job getting aborted. This is interesting.
I could run an overnight job simulation without the job getting aborted but now I couldn't do it after an improper shutting down. I try to run an overnight simulation but the job kept getting aborted due to error "session has been idle longer than 3600 seconds, disconnecting from Abaqus License...
